Please join the Alliance and its partners as we celebrate our third anniversary.  We will highlight the Alliance and partner accomplishments over the past year and share recent progress in our efforts to draw investors to the clean cooking sector, support research to underscore gaps and highlight solutions, advance international standards for cookstoves; and catalyze markets around the world.

As part of a highly engaging interactive afternoon, we hope you will join us for parallel sessions that will cover: enterprise  building strategies for investment readiness  and advancements in carbon finance; ongoing efforts in catalyzing markets in our focus countries and globally; and a discussion on opportunities to grow our research efforts in  health, adoption, fuels, gender, and climate. We will finish with an evening reception with special remarks by Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton and other special appearances by Alliance champions, in addition to providing an opportunity to connect and celebrate with the Alliance community.

The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves is a public-private partnership led by the United Nations Foundation to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by creating a thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions. The Alliance’s ‘100 by ’20’ goal calls for 100 million homes to adopt clean and efficient stoves and fuels by 2020. The Alliance works with public, private, and non-profit partners to help overcome the market barriers that currently impede the production, deployment, and use of clean cookstoves in developing countries.
