Lack of access to affordable energy for cooking, lighting and heating is recognized as a key barrier to achieving global prosperity. Increasing access to small-scale clean technologies for cooking and lighting hastens the achievement of at least 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which are concerned with preserving the environment while increasing access to renewable energy and addressing climate change.

Join wPower and the Alliance on Tuesday 15th November, 5:15 PM at the U.S Pavilion at COP22, in Marrakech, Morocco for the official launch the wPOWER Hub Global Partnership Program. The partnership brings together players from across the clean energy value chain to share best practices for promoting the central role that women must play to increase renewable access and in addressing climate change.

This high-level event will highlight the best evidence, innovative approaches and strategic discussions addressing the gaps that still exist to integrate and support women's central role to achieve the goal of universal access to affordable clean cooking, lighting and heating solutions implemented at the ‘last mile’.
