There are multiple factors that determine the health, environmental, economic, and climate impacts from cooking on a country’s inhabitants. While some countries have access to clean cooking technologies and fuels, others are more dependent on the use of solid fuels, rudimentary cookstoves, and open fires for their household cooking needs. The Alliance has gathered information from a number of sources to provide a snapshot of a range of factors including: overview of access to clean cookstoves and fuels, demographic and household data, adoption indicators, economic statistics, and other pertinent health and gender resources.
