Julie Ipe is the Director for Demand and Behavior Change at the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. She oversees the design, implementation and evaluation of the Alliance's behavior change and demand generation efforts, including consumer facing mass media and community based communication campaigns, partnerships to facilitate increased access and affordability of clean cooking solutions, and promotion of knowledge exchange of best practices for demand and behavior change in the clean cooking sector. She has 15 years of experience working in both the development and for-profit sectors, with a focus on applying research and analysis to improve processes and outcomes. Julie holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations from American University’s School of International Service and graduated with honors from the Ohio State University.
